As you know, the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority has announced that April 1, 2017 is the effective date for the Automotive Materials Stewardship (AMS) Industry Stewardship Plan (ISP).

Automotive Materials Stewardship (AMS) is pleased to announce that the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority has now confirmed that April 1, 2017 is the effective date for AMS’s Industry Stewardship Plan (ISP).
Over the next few months, AMS will be working closely with Stewardship Ontario to ensure that automotive stewards experience a smooth transition from the MHSW Program to the AMS ISP. Read more »
On August 10, the WDO Board approved Automotive Materials Stewardship (AMS) ISP to manage automotive materials (antifreeze/antifreeze containers, oil filters, and oil containers) with an effective date of no sooner than January 1, 2017.
The ISP was approved following consultations from February 26 – April 29, 2016 that included an online survey, webinar, posting on the Environmental Bill of Rights Registry, and opportunities to speak to WDO by phone or in person. Read more »
As we await a decision by Waste Diversion Ontario (WDO) on AMS’ ISP, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank our stakeholders for their feedback on the plan and share with you the final version of the ISP, which was submitted to WDO for their consideration.
